Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Leads the design of scalable big data cloud platform/solutions used to ingest and process accurately scaled traffic data.
  • Build end-to-end solutions that enable business stakeholders, BI engineers/architects, and analysts to self-serve their business intelligence needs.
  • Develop and automate large scale, high-performance, scalable platform (batch and/or streaming) to drive faster data analytics.
  • Ability to design large-scale, complex applications and frameworks with excellent run-time characteristics such as low-latency, fault-tolerance, and availability.
  • Experience in building and maintaining custom frameworks to support cloud engineering/architecture/analytics needs.
  • Partner with cloud analytic consumers and cloud data scientists to build and improve new/existing engineering constructs and solve BI and data focused problems on a larger scale.
  • Exposure to structured or unstructured storage and distributed caching.
  • Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure high quality of data.
  • Experienced Engineer or Contributor or Committer to open-source technologies is plus.
  • Structured thinking with ability to easily break down ambiguous problems and propose impactful solutions.
  • Attention to detail and effective verbal/written communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a cloud BI Architect focused or in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and new technologies to evolving business and operating models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in the following: Snowflake, Matillion, Microsoft Azure (Synapse, ADF), AWS (Redshift, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Athena), Kafka, Confluent, Starburst, Fivetran, dbt, SQL, Microsoft, SQL Server, Python, Terraform and Qlik Replicate
  • Knowledge of professional concepts and the ability to use this knowledge toward cloud/data specific development of theories and methods.
  • High degree of client focus and strong communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills.
  • Must be highly curious, driven, and disciplined.
  • Understanding of data models, data warehouses, and data mining.
  • Experience with participating in all aspects of cloud: data warehouse/analytical projects including conceptualization, design, development, testing, selection, deployment, and post-implementation support.
