Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Work closely with the client’s business team to understand problems and identify the work needed to implement future state solutions.
  • Work as a liaison between business and technology teams. Define functional specifications and worked closely with Developers and Testers.
  • Document and analyze current state business processes and the underlying systems and applications.
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather user requirements.
  • Write user stories and lead backlog grooming/refinement sessions.
  • Analyze existing and new software solutions to find the most effective way to meet business needs.
  • Validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Create product/project backlogs consisting of user stories and tasks.
  • Produce timely and high-quality work products, including specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
  • Plan and execute System/Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification preferred (but not required).
  • 5+ years’ experience managing highly complex projects in a Business Analyst or related role on an Agile team.
  • 6+ years of overall technology experience with significant involvement in software development.
  • Ability to determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Experience defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming a project team; establishing project budget.
  • Previously constructed workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Improved systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Proven results of ability to collect and maintain analytics to define and implement process improvement changes.
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
